Can I transfer between two accounts held at Freemarket?

Yes, Freemarket supports transfers between accounts on our platform. These are two types of internal transfers, depending on the relationship between the sending and receiving accounts:

Intra Account Transfer

These are transfers between two accounts owned by you or your business

  • Funds are moved instantly, as they remain within the Freemarket ecosystem
  • No additional compliance review is needed once set up
  • No external payment scheme is used

Inter Account Transfers

These are transfers between two different Freemarket clients (for example, you sending funds to a supplier or partner who also holds an account with us).

  • These transfers go through our usual compliance checks before settlement
  • They may take slightly longer to process due to the compliance checks but are still handled internally within the Freemarket ecosystem
  • No external banking rails are used, so it's faster and more cost-effective

In both cases, transferring funds within the Freemarket network avoids external fees and delays associated with traditional banking systems.

If you would like to find out more about transfers or whether a payment could be made as an internal transfer, please speak to your relationship manager.
